Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced that three metro stations are getting new names. The changes will help passengers travel easily and know the areas better.
The North Pitampura Metro Station in QU Block will now be called: North Pitampura-Prashant Vihar Metro Station
The new Pitampura North Metro Station will now be called: Haiderpur Village Metro Station
The existing Pitampura Metro Station has been renamed: Madhuban Chowk Metro Station
CM Gupta said: “We changed the names after suggestions from citizens and party leaders. Our goal is to make commuting simple for everyone.”
Renaming stations is not new. For example, HUDA City Centre was renamed Millennium City Centre in 2023.
Delhi Metro is expanding a lot! Phase 4 includes: 🚇 RK Ashram Marg–Janakpuri West ✨ Aerocity–Tughlakabad (Golden Line) 🌸 Majlis Park–Maujpur (Pink Line extension)
